How Patron Rewards Work

Reward Formula (Source of Truth)

effective_price = max(oracle_price, 0.01)

tokens = donation_usd / effective_price

Your rewards are calculated using the oracle price or $0.01 floor (whichever is higher). You always receive fair value for your donations.

💡 $0.01 Floor Protection: Even if the oracle price drops below $0.01, you'll always receive tokens calculated at $0.01 minimum. This protection is hardcoded in the smart contract.

Example: Floor Price Active

Oracle Price: $0.005

Effective Price (floor): $0.01

Your Donation: $50

Tokens You Receive: 5,000 MXEL

Formula: $50 / $0.01 = 5,000 MXEL

Example: Oracle Price Above Floor

Oracle Price: $0.50

Effective Price: $0.50

Your Donation: $50

Tokens You Receive: 100 MXEL

Formula: $50 / $0.50 = 100 MXEL

Important Information

Daily Patron Cap: 100M MXEL

Smart contract-level circuit breaker limits total daily minting for all patron rewards to 100 million MXEL. If reached, claims pause until the next day.

No Multipliers for Patrons

Patron rewards use a simple 1:1 formula (donation / effective_price). There are NO multipliers or bonus tiers for patrons. Only creators receive multipliers.

On-Chain Transparency

Every donation is recorded on-chain with the oracle price and effective price used. All calculations are enforced by Solana smart contracts and fully verifiable.
